- I really wanted to meet you because I was really curious about how well JJ is doing in class.
- How is my son doing (in school) ? / How is my son adapting (in school) ?
- I'm worried about how well he's adapting to this new environment.
because English and French is not his first language and he hadn't learned about that before.
- I'm worried that he might have issues communicating with the other students.
- My son was a very diligent student so I'm wondering if he's still studying diligently here in Canada.

- I really wanted to meet you because I was really curious about how he's getting along with a lot of his friends.

- When he was in Korea, he always struggled with science so I'm really worried about whether he's struggling with science in Canada or not.

- I also heard that from my son. But I just wanted to ask you direct how well he's doing.

Because I can't imagine how difficult it must be for my son to learn different subjects through English.
