A : Hey, what's up? 
B : Same old, same old. 
    um... Can I get it off my chest? 
A : Hey, what happened? 
B : Yesterday, my husband twisted my arm to buy a new car. 
A : But, you bought your car just last year? 
B : Yeah... Even he didn't drive a hard bargain.
    I gave up. Today, we will go to dealor shop to make a contract. 
A : Hold a second. One of my best frineds knock himself out for ABC dealer shop. 
    So, he is a good sport so maybe he can discount if I bring him you.
B : Really? Thank you so much! Now, I can breathe a sigh of relief.

My friend Jane was down in the dumps, because she failed the math exam. 

In fact, she put an all-nighter to study it with her classmate John.

So, she was running around like a chicken with its head cut off when she heard that John passed the exam.

John said, "it was a piece of cake. and I konw my stuff." 

Jane said, "I buckled down and study like crazy but it was way over my head. it was like pulling teeth. 

I think she has bitten off more than she can chew.

WHen I was a young, I was always dying to live abroad. So, I decided to move to Canada. 

However, when I arrive in Canada, I was down in the dumps. I hadn't been lived far from my parents. 

I looked like a basket case all the time. One day, my wife suggested learning language. 

I thought it wasn't worth my while, but I tried to give it a shot. 

In the first day of school, I was a nervous wreck. But, after 2 weeks, I got used to it. 

The class was very interesting than I expected. 

I picked up lot of expressions and idioms. I practice it everyday. 

Day by day, my Engllish skill continued to brush up. 

Now, I am nuts about learning English and taking this class was a big shot for my life.

A : Good morning.

B : Good morning, How are you? 

A : I can't complain. Look! your shoes are all the rage. It looks good on you!

B : Thank you so much! How's it going your final math exam? 

A : I'm going nuts about it. I'm gonna be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. 

B : Hey. hey, hey. Take it easy. I will lend you my hand. You know.. I'm good at math.

A : Really? Thank you so much. Now, I am in good hands with you. 

B : Yeah. In fact. it is not easy. after you listen to my explanation, i will get the hang of it. 

A : Now, I don't have to bun the midnight oil. Let's get the ball rolling.

As a matter of fact, I don't believe in "love at first sight".

But I couldn't help but fall in love with my babies immediately when thery were born.

They make me happy but it is not easy for me to keep my temper.

I always tried to plug away with be patient. 

They hardly followed my guideline.

They didn't clean up their room. They alwasys run in the room. They were fooling around instead of doing their homework.

But I am nuts about them. Because they look after me.

A : Mom, I dno't want to practice (the) piano, becaseu I have a lot of homework today. 

B : That's out of the question!

A : Why do you always twist my arm? 

B : Unless you practice playing piano, you'll lose your touch. So, please plug away to do it. 

A : I like to play piano, but I'm not nuts about it. And tomorrow i have to prepare math quiz like crazy. 

B : Okay. I'll sweeten the deal. practice it just 30 minutes. But this is for only today. 

A : Thanks  Mom. I'll get the ball rolling.

When the pandamic hit, my father was so down in the dumps becasue his own business had been stopped. 

The situation was a pain in the neck. 

But he tried to look up the bright side and knocked himeself out to get a job. 

I wanted to help him out, so I kicked out part tim job at night. 

At the beginning, it dropped the ball several times. 

But after 2 weeks, I can get the hang of it. 

One day, i got a tall order. To complete it, I had to pull the all-nighter. 

I buckled down and tried to do my best. 

Eventually, I can finish it within time and I became a fulltime empolyee.

Now, my father and I make a bundle and we are stting pretty.
